Before there was Hallmark, there was Hall Brothers Incorporated. This antique (1920's) Halloween greeting card, w/ original envelope, is in mint condition. Rarely seen, and quite difficult to come by, this Halloween greeting card comes in a vibrant and contrasting green, yellow, black, and orange- almost appears to be 3 dimensional in its layered printing. Featuring a jack o lantern, candle sticks, cobwebs, and an owl; the whole gangs here! Reading: "On Hallowe'en- When the pun'kin head wears an awful scowl, An' th' goblins and the witches howl, I hope that every hoot-owl's "whoo", Says Happy Hallowe'en to you". Cards measure 4 x 3 1/8 inches. Stored away in its original box (not included), you can see the Hall Brothers company marking, the precursor to today's Hallmark Cards.
